Micah Financial Services is run by Anton and Chammy Slabbert from an office in Verwoerdpark, Alberton, looking after clients in every province of South Africa. When you call, one of them answers.
Two people who know your file
Micah Financial Services is an independent short-term insurance brokerage, authorised as a Financial Services Provider under FSP number 46080. We arrange personal and commercial cover for clients throughout South Africa, from Alberton and the East Rand to Cape Town, Durban and everywhere between.
We have deliberately stayed small. It means we cannot be everything to everyone, and we are fine with that. What it buys our clients is continuity: the person who set your policy up is the person who reviews it, and the person who runs your claim. Nobody has to be brought up to speed.
Being independent matters just as much. We are not tied to a single insurer and we are not incentivised to place your business anywhere in particular. We go to the market, compare properly, and recommend what we would take ourselves.

Four things we will not compromise on
We tell you when not to buy
If an add-on is not worth the premium for your circumstances, we will say so, even though we earn less. A client who trusts our advice is worth more than one extra section on a policy.
We explain the exclusions
Every policy has things it will not pay for. We would rather have the awkward conversation when you take the cover out than when you are claiming.
We put recommendations in writing
What we advised and why, so there is a record you can hold us to. It is a FAIS requirement, and it is also just good practice.
We ask for as little as possible
We collect the minimum information needed to do the job, keep it only as long as we must, and never sell it. POPIA sets the floor; this is how we would want to be treated ourselves.
